I highly recommend RackSpace Email if you are looking for an email provider. Of course you can use the free email providers, such as gmail, yahoo, outlook, hotmail, GoDaddy, but Rackspace Email has many advantages over the free email addresses. The 2 major advantages to Rackspace Email are:
- You can create and configure emails to use your web address, for example, sales@yourdomain.com or billing@yourdomain.com
- The daily quotas are very high. Did you know that most of the free email providers only allow you to send 250 emails or less per day? If you have a business with more than 250 students, it makes it impossible to to a mass email to all students from Studioware. Rackspace allows you to send 10,000 emails per day.
Currently, Rackspace Email hosting costs $2 (USD) per account per month and Rackspace requires a minimum of 5 email accounts. That's only $10 per month for a great email hosting system with a lot of space to save all your email correspondence.
We use Rackspace Email Host for our email needs. It's always a good idea to have a separate email hosting from you web host. If you website goes down, if you email hosting is separated, you will still have email access.
